MEDATA

Medata is a data set of Mediterranean fish census surveys conducted along the Mediterranean sea. The dataset includes environmental variables as well as conservation information regarding MPAs.

Environmental information (temperature, salinity and primary production) was acquired from Bio-ORACLE using sdmpredictors package.

This is a collaboration of Belmaker Lab (Tel Aviv University, Israel), Ernesto Azzuro (ISPRA, Italy), Joachim Claudet (CNRS, France) and Enric Sala. We would like to acknowledge Dive2gether Marine Field Station Plakias for assisting with Crete data collection. Data from Cyprus was recently added with the courtesy of Periklis Kleitou, Demetris Kletou, Ioannis Savva and Leda L. Cai from MER research lab.
